About
Viche, Chicha, Bushi rum, Yoothsi, Guarapo. Many ancestral and traditional colombian beverages are largely undiscovered in Germany. Our mission is to celebrate and elevate the history of these beverages and bring their amazing legacy to Berlin. Through our website and tasting parties, we aim to unveil their ethno-botanical richness and the artisans who preserve them until Today.
Some history
In Colombia, traditional beverages like viche, chirrinchi, and chicha were long neglected, overshadowed by new regulations, cultural elitism, and industrial mass production. But recently there has been a resurgence of interest in these ancestral drinks, producers are fighting for them to be recognized as legitimate and younger consumers are loving them! Now it is possible to find Viche cocktails and Chicha bars throughout the country, and we want to bring that experience to our international community.
Time to Taste!
To make our vision real, we will launch a series of art-therapy tasting party. During the sessions participants will taste and learn about the history of 5 colombian ancestral beverages while hearing to music, learning dance steps from the beverages region of origin and painting totumas.
